Arrowstone Provincial Park Northeast of Cache Creek

Arrowstone Provincial Park is a wilderness area. No camping or day-use facilities. Hiking, back country camping, nature appreciation, wildlife viewing and photography. Hunting opportunities also exist in the park.

Blue River Black Spruce Provincial Park 230 km north of Kamloops on Hwy #5

This park protects the southern-most extent of black spruce into the region. No camping or day use facilities available.

Blue River Pine Provincial Park Blue River Pine Provincial Park is located in the community of Blue River.

No camping or day-use facilities are provided here, however, locally maintained ski trails are present and snowshoeing is a popular winter activity in the park.

Bonaparte Provincial Park Located on the Bonaparte Plateau south of Bonaparte Lake, approximately 55 km northwest of Kamloops

Motorized vehicle prohibited area (except aircraft - float plane access is open for private use; commercial airlines require a Park Use Permit .)There is a snowmobile use area in the southern portion of the park.

Caligata Lake Provincial Park The park is located near Raft Mountain, approximately 160 km north of Kamloops, northeast of the town of Clearwater.

A small cirque basin containing an attractive lake. Hiking and back country skiing. No camping or day-use facilities are provided.

An area of large, undisturbed, floodplain islands in the North Thompson River. No camping or day-use facilities are provided.

Dunn Peak Provincial Park 12 km northeast of Little Fort

A large wilderness area noted for important wildlife habitat, outstanding backcountry recreation opportunities, and spectacular mountain scenery. No camping or day-use facilities.

Eakin Creek Canyon Provincial Park 5 km west of Little Fort, south of Hwy #24.

Special feature in the park is a small, narrow rock canyon with steep walls, natural tunnels and rock outcrops. No camping or day-use facilities.

Eakin Creek Floodplain Provincial Park May be accessed by gravel road off Highway 24, 15 km west of Little Fort.

Valley floodplain. Large, old red cedars, cottonwoods, red-oiser dogwood, devil's club, oak fern and lady fern. Old growth Douglas-fir and pine grass. A good place for birding. No camping or day-use facilities.

Emar Lakes Provincial Park 100 km north of Kamloops and 20 km west of Little Fort along Hwy #24.

A chain of large and small lakes, potholes and wetlands in a forested setting in the upper Emar Creek watershed, offering small, user-maintained, wilderness campsites, and a circular canoe route with short portages.

Finn Creek Provincial Park

A deep meandering channel and islands in the North Thompson River. No camping or day-use facilities. Grizzly bear and moose habitat and has potential for many bird species.

Goldpan Provincial Park Located on the east bank of the Thompson River adjacent to Hwy #1, 10 km south of Spences Bridge

Located on the banks of the Thompson River.Convenient overnight camping spot for travelers on Hwy #1.Destination site for fishermen during peak fishing times. Popular base camp for visitors enjoying guided river rafting.

Greenstone Mountain Provincial Park Located approximately 20 km southwest of Kamloops.

The mountain top, accessible by road, offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, lakes and dry valley environments of the Thompson Valley. No camping or day-use facilities are provided at this park

Interesting grassland\aspen area of high geological diversity. Hiking, wildlife viewing and photography. No camping or day-use facilities.

High Lakes Basin Provincial Park 16 km west of Little Fort, and 2.5 km north of Caverhill Lake on the Nehalliston Plateau.

Access is by foot or horseback. This park contains a small group of medium-sized lakes containing wild trout stocks.

Kalamalka Beach Kalamalka Road, Vernon Kalamalka beach is located on the north shore of Kalamalka Lake. It offers a long pier, change rooms, rest rooms and several beach volleyball courts. During the summer months you can enjoy the concession stand as well as kayak and boat rentals right on the beach. Parking is accessible via Husband Road.   Google Map

Bertram Creek Regional Park On Lakeshore Road just past Cedar Creek Winery and before Okanagan Mountain Provincial Park
Cedar Creek Park 5200 Lakeshore Road

Cedar Creek Beach is a long narrow pebble beach located along Lakeshore Road. This dog-friendly park is a popular spot and features picnic tables and portable toilets. Parking is very limited. Nudity is not unknown at the Northern end of the park.

City Park Beach 1600 Abbott Street ( by the bridge )

This beachfront public park on Okanagan Lake has a long sandy beach, lawn bowling, kids' water park, playground, picnic area, skateboard park, running track, sports field, restaurant, concession and change rooms. Park open year-round; water park open mid-May to mid-September.

Gyro Beach 3400 Lakeshore Road

Located just south of the city centre, Boyce Gyro Park provides an expansive park with volleyball courts, picnic tables, large playground, washrooms and concession and shallow swimming. A rental shop is located at the south end of the park and offers paddle boats and more. The Mission Shopping Centre and numerous motels are located within minutes from this park.

Rotary Beach Park 3726 Lakeshore

This very popular park has designated swimming areas, change rooms, playground, picnic area and more.

Sarson Beach Park 4398 Hobson Rd.

This cozy little beach is located in the Hobson Road neighbourhood. A playground is located on site and a designated swimming area is offered. Picnic tables are available.

Strathcona Park 2290 Abbott St.

Located behind the Kelowna General Hospital on Abbott Street, Strathcona Park has a designated swimming area, picnic tables, playground and offers a large grassy area, shaded by mature oak trees.

Sutherland Park 700 Ellis St.

Beach area, playground, boat launch, swimming area, trails.

Waterfront Beach 1200 Water St.

Located in the city centre on Water Street, Waterfront Park is next to The Grand Hotel. A broad boardwalk meanders along the waters edge to the City Park. Perfectly landscaped gardens, statues and plenty of city views. Beach and swimming area available.
