Vernon Newspaper

In 1891 the Vernon News was the second paper to be published in the Interior of British Columbia. The first newspaper was called the Inland Sentinel of Kamloops. Angus Stuart was reporter, general news gatherer, which he did by horse back to cover the densely populated interior. Stuart was recognized for the Kamloops paper as one of the best weekly papers in Canada.
